Salsa fest started three years ago, is a gathering of friends, we  make and jar Salsa. The work starts on  friday of  the Labor day weekend and  we work untill it's all done. This is the last phase of the garden picking.

You need to put a little garlic in your salsa!

You also need lots of mixed fresh peppers, yes there's also lots of onions too.

The cutting crew.

A ten gallon pot, outside gas burner and a realy big mixing stick.

The cutting crew taking a break, eggplant parm and some vino. Guess who made dinner and is stiring the pot?

All done, 100 pounds of tomatoes made five and one half cases (67 pints)  of great Salsa........... time for a nap !

We hope to see you all again next year !
